I have 358 Customers and 227 Project Records in QuickBooks Customer Manger 2.5. Please tell me you didn’t leave current users out in the cold with regards to an import function…

      Hi Dave,

We know that many people who are using Customer Manager the desktop software are very interested in using Customer Manager Online… so no, we aren’t leaving you out in the cold. Right now we are trying to understand what is required for you and other businesses to make the switch. For example, do you need all your projects records in Customer Manager Online or is our current beta good enough?

Send us what you need to make the switch here (by sending feedback).

      John,

In order to make the swith I would need:

The ability to upload my CM2.5 database for conversion into CMO including Customers, Projects, Related Customers, History, Appointments and Calendar entries for a start. Secondly I would need secure storage for my data and a way to globally rebuild all the links to every document and folder that already exists within my database.

Other enhancements that I would love to see would be the ability to trigger a chain of events based on a change in project status. For instance if a project is in Bid, I want the calendar to remind me at 3-7-10 day intervals for example, to make follow up calls. If the project changes to In Progress I would like to have the ability to create a new set of reminders. When the job is finished I envisioned the program reminding me at certain intervals to send out specific follow up letters. Of course those should be editable and should merge with existing data in the database.

I would hope that the calendar system would be at least as intuitive (gotcha) as Google Calendar, with reminders that have the abliity to send e-mail or text messages at a specified time before the event. Speaking of e-mail, I would need complete integration with pop3 e-mail. So that if I draft an e-mail from within the (can I say) CRM it is not only attached to my customer and project records, but is also stored in my Windows mail client. Dare I say that Mac support would be nice too. I prefer OS X to be honest.

That’s all I can think of for now. Thanks.
