Justin, a team member here, has been working hard to get a survey out to all our beta testers. He wanted me to post this… I can’t wait to learn from everyone. Feedback is a gift, so thank you!

“So far we have received some great feedback from those of you who have discovered the feedback link from within Customer Manager Online. But we know there is more on your minds and we want to hear it!

We’ve seen some pretty interesting businesses, (everything from a luxury philanthropic travel agency to a bike riding group from Los Angeles that schedules an annual 50 mile bike ride for the sole purpose of ‘mooning’ the Amtrak trains). While we’ve conducted some interviews and read your feedback suggestions, we have learned that everyone has their own, unique way of using the product and we want to know more about how you use Customer Manager Online to help run your business.

So, we have created a brief survey to understand a little more about your business and give you the opportunity to tell us what you like, dislike, and wish the program could do for you. The survey should only take about 15 minutes of your time and your input will help us make the product even better. Soon, you will receive an email invitation from Intuit to complete our Customer Manager Online beta tester survey. We can’t wait to hear what you have to say and learn about your business, so please take a moment today to open your email and complete our survey!

Thanks in advance for sharing your valuable opinions!”

Are there reports that can be customized? I can’t seem to find any. I know this is a beta version but it seems like you guys are real early in the process of creating this database. I watched the online video and it didn’t address any reporting capabilities. Please send me in the right direction if you do have them.

      Thanks

We are working hard to get the features you desire Jack… and many others. Thanks for your interest and help by providing feedback.

Check out my blog post on tracking prosepctive customers… it is an early, simple way to run reports on customers. Using custom fields and filtering your list of contacts is a quick way to run a report (depending on what you were looking to get insights into).

    • Dex Says:

I am a current user of the desktop version- do you have the ability to sync contacts with the online version? In the development of the product are there plans to have better import and export features? The desktop version seems to be limited in data management. I like the desktop layout but have been very disappointed with 1 person access. Please help, need to convert to multi-user product and would prefer to have seemless conversion from previous version of customer manager to online version is this possible?

      Thanks

    • John Says:

Hi Dex, yes there are plans for better import and export features. The team is working on them right now.

Customer Manager Online has been multi-user from day one. Check out this blog post where we talk about it a bit.

We want you to start using the online version of Customer Manager too. We’d love you feedback now since you can use it for free and you also be the first to see when we improve the import functionality (including from the desktop version).

I use quickbooks to track franchise purchases, not to run a business per say. I am using QB Cust Mgr 2.5 to work with 2008 Pro. Its a great little system, works fine.

What will the pricing strategy be for the online version? (I pay for this myself, my company does not)

Will Cust Mgr 2.5 work with 2010?

I upgraded to 2010 today because of cust mgr online. I hope it is not too costly!
