Meet the (Blogging) Customer Manager Online Team!

    Thursday, April 30th, 2009

We have a lot of interesting people from different backgrounds on the Customer Manager Online team - and we thought we’d introduce the first 3 bloggers to you, so you can start to get more acquainted with the team.

Meet John - Product Manager, father of three and huge Bay Area sports fan (GO Giants!). John has been deeply focused on making sure that the Customer Manager Online product experience is easy, intuitive and presents the most important details to business owners about their customers, so they can deliver awesome service. When John’s not working, he’s spending time with his kids, catching a baseball game and earning his keep at home with his toolbox & handiwork. Whether he’s using a hammer or his laptop, John’s ability to fix problems quickly makes him popular at the office and at home.

Meet Sadie - Product Manager, and our most recent addition to the Customer Manager Online team. Sadie has been deeply involved in setting up the blog and keeping our customers in the loop with what’s new and exciting. If you’ve received emails from us giving you the scoop our latest feature updates and new information - that’s Sadie too. When she’s not in the office, Sadie is busy practicing her fluency in 4 different languages (including Mandarin!) with her friends. She also enjoys hosting large dinner parties (no catering allowed, she cooks everything herself). Truly a worldly member of the team!

Meet Nazima - Marketing Manager, whose name means “Poetess” in Persian, but is actually Kenyan by birth, Indian by ethnicity and Canadian by nationality. When she’s not explaining her background, Nazima’s focus has been on making the Customer Manager Online website a great shopping and research experience for visitors. She’s also focused on making it easy for visitors to find the information they need quickly and in a simple and easy way - so if you have suggestions, let her know! Outside of the office, she’s usually taking a yoga class, going for a run, visiting family and friends in Canada or cooking up a few spicy Indian dishes for her friends.

Everyone on the team comes from different backgrounds, but we all have the same focus when we’re at work - delivering awesome solutions for our customers that help their businesses grow and succeed. Looking forward to getting to know you more and more - so feel free to post a note in the blog. We’d love to hear from you!

Wishing you growth and success in your business…

  • Our next release is available!

    Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

We are super excited, Customer Manager Online beta is getting a little better today. Our newest release includes sync with QuickBooks 2009, meaning your customer contact information stays up to date in both places and you don’t have to enter information twice. Also, everyone using Customer Manager Online can see how much someone owes and the total revenue they’ve generated for the business.
This was a big effort for our team it wasn’t as easy as it might sound. We’d love your feedback on how it is working for you. If you are an existing tester we know you wanted this… here are some of the comments we read.

“Is there a way to “sync” customer manager with the QuickBooks. So I don’t have to enter info twice?”

“Why cant I re-synchronize with Quickbooks?… It synchronized when I first created the account, but now is not updating my customer contacts… even though I’ve added several more customers to Quickbooks.”

So, how did we do? If you are considering Customer Manager Online beta, this should make it really easy to get started, all your customers come up from QuickBooks and automatically start syncing.

And among the other changes, we wanted to continue to make it really easy to get started with the beta. So along with automatically getting customer information from QuickBooks, you can get your contacts imported from Outlook. Again, here are some things we heard, how’d we do?

“It would be great if I could select contacts from my Outlook to be imported”

“There may be information kept in Outlook that is not kept in QB.”

“I use Business Contact Manager in Outlook, and I want THAT address book integrated”
